Nutkhut is seeking an experienced Office Manager to join our team.
04/05/2012This role will be based at our office in Woolwich and be responsible for the company’s administration.
This is a part time role (24hours) and that would suit an organized and efficient individual with a minimum of 3 years office management/administration experience. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work on their own initiative and as a member of a team.
Salary £25,000 pro rata.

Nutkhut at Wandsworth Arts Festival this weekend (20th - 22nd May 2011)
19/05/2011Miss Benn will house Tailors of Tooting at the Wandsworth Arts Festival this weekend (20th - 22nd May).
The installation is currently installed in the centre of Tooting Market, 21-23 Tooting High Street, Tooting, London SW17 0RJ and will be there until the market closes on Saturday night. [See map].
Drop in at any time during market opening hours (8am - 6.30pm) to meet Miss Benn.
On Sunday 22nd, the installation will move to Hurlingham Yacht Club, 43A Deodar Road, London SW15 2NP (near Putney Bridge) to be a part of The Shimmy - Wandsworth Arts Festival's finale! [See map]. The installation will be running throughout the day (1-5pm). The Nutkhut team will be there all day, so do come along and say hi.

Nutkhut's Knowhow Workshop 5th May 2011 – Call out for Performers

Nutkhut has a busy summer season ahead, including performances at lots of exciting festivals and events. To kick things off, we are offering a free workshop to performers interested in working in the outdoors...
The workshop day will offer performers the opportunity to sharpen / learn new skills often used in Nutkhut’s work, including stilt walking, clowning and character.
When: Thursday 5th May 2011 from 12pm to 5pm
Where: Brady Arts Centre, 192-196 Hanbury Street, London, E1 5HU
This is an amazing opportunity for a free whole day workshop to learn new skills and work in a group environment with an opportunity to meet Nutkhut’s Artistic Directors and the rest of the Nutkhut team. We have 30 places up for grabs. They will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis. We will let you know if you have been successful by 10.30am on Tuesday 3rd May. Please note, all places will need to be booked in advance, and you can only book for yourself.

Nutkhut is looking for performers for an interactive, outdoor performance piece.
This summer, Nutkhut is presenting a brand new walkabout piece called Bespoke. The piece will amusingly reveal the hidden world of the bespoke tailor. Weaving in and out of the audience, the company of tailors will have the audience in stitches as they comically share the various tricks of their trade…
We are looking to cast a group of performers who will perform the piece at various one-off gigs across the summer. We are looking for performers who:
- Are strong improvisers
- Have good movement skills
- Have strong comic timing
- Have strong ensemble skills
- Enjoy direct interaction with an audience
- Are healthy & fit
- Are good with text & characterisation
If you have a particular skill (e.g. play an instrument, sing or dance), please highlight this on your CV. One of the characters will ride a bicycle – please indicate your level of skill / comfort with cycling on your CV. If you have experience of outdoor performance, please highlight this on your CV.
Essential Information:
Auditions will be held on Monday 9th May in a central London location.
Rehearsals will be Saturday 14th May – Thursday 19th May 2011.
Preview will be at Wandsworth Arts Festival on Sunday 22nd May 2011.
There will be another day's rehearsal w/c 20th June 2011. Exact details t.b.c.
Premiere will be at Greenwich & Docklands International Festival 25th – 26th June 2011.

Costumes are being made, press interviews are being held, and the smells, sounds and colours of India are seeping in to their minds…
An invitation to The Palace

Nutkhut is delighted to be returning to The Palace, having been invited by Her Majesty The Queen to a Reception at Buckingham Palace for Young People in the Performing Arts in May 2011. We first visited The Palace back in 2009 when we presented Bollywood Bites to Her Majesty and 300 guests in The Ballroom. We are thoroughly looking forward to our next trip.
