News

If you are looking for the very latest Nutkhut news, you’ve come to the right place.

We’re proud of our relationship with students and graduates of Greenwich University and are pleased to welcome Amelia Kaur Rajasansi to the Nutkhut team, on placement until December.

Amelia is an undergraduate student studying Drama at the University of Greenwich, with a passion for acting and production.

As well as supporting our Diwali activities over the next few weeks, Amelia will be working on a podcast project focussed around climate change and the ways the creative industry can help tackle this.

We’re taking our ethereal Lotus Flower on tour to celebrate Diwali and we’re inviting you to join in the festivities by sending us your photos of the Lotus on Social Media using #NutkhutLotus.

The Lotus flower symbolises enlightenment and new beginnings and has never felt more relevant.

We look forward to seeing you in London and Bradford and sharing the joy and majesty of the beautiful Lotus Flower.

Sophia joined Nutkhut as part of the University of Greenwich Internship programme.

As a student of history and with aspirations for a role in heritage, we were thrilled to invite Sophia to participate in Girmit as project researcher and assistant facilitator focussing on the Girmit Graphic Novel and the Oral Histories element of the project.

Thank You Mozfest!

We were very proud to have Premiered ‘Girmit’ at the first ever Virtual Mozilla Festival.

The event included a discussion with the creative team and featured the Making of Girmit Video as well as the World Premiere of the Girmit VR 360° experience.

With such a great multi-disciplinary team of digital artists, academics, heritage experts, archivists and educationalists all working towards the shared objective of highlighting this hidden story, we felt very privileged to have this opportunity to present a project borne out of the Pandemic in such a unique setting.
