The launch of South Asian Heritage Month 2024 at the Speaker’s House was a powerful celebration of South Asian culture.
Hosted by The Rt Hon Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP, Speaker of the House of Commons, the event embraced this year’s theme: “Free to Be Me.”
“This is a moment to celebrate the freedom to embrace who we are,” said Sir Lindsay.
Nutkhut, fully embraced the theme through dynamic performances and workshops throughout the summer.
Founder Jasvir Singh CBE spoke passionately, saying, “South Asian heritage is about being free to be unapologetically ourselves.”
Looking ahead, Nutkhut is planning an even wider range of activities for 2025 to 2026, deepening engagement and further celebrating South Asian identity across the UK.
